. this is fox 5 news mid-day news. we begin with breaking news in the search for shaquita bell good morning, i m gurvir dhindsa. bell s body has never been found. yesterday, d.c. detectives began the search. this is a live picture now where the search continues for bell s remains. and today within the last hour we told that a dog discovered some kind of clothing at the dig site. and you can see in the video where they are out there. we re told that authorities are not commenting on what they found or what it actually they continue to dig they continue to dig off the site off old fort road. bell disappeared in 1996, and her old boyfriend, dickerson, admitted killing her and took a pl ea deal. past searches have turned up nothing. we ll have more updates as we get them into the news room. and the other big story is a chemical has been found in a d.c. residential neighborhood. the army corp of engineers has been attempting to clean fo now. that area is now a residentia
