Residents at Balclutha Court are in full bloom thanks to taking part in floristry masterclasses. Master florist Michal Kowalski, from Blooming Haus, took the senior citizens through a virtual demonstration so they could create their own displays. They used shop-bought flowers as well as materials and foliage from the surrounding gardens at the Forsyth Street establishment. Their creations were entered into a Facebook competition judged by Michal and his business partner Michael Dariane, and the winning resident scooped Love2Shop vouchers. Overseeing the activity on the day was Karen Dillion, activities co-ordinator. She said: It was wonderful that our residents were able to create their own floral displays using flowers from our own garden and the local supermarket. ....
