A former teaching union leader has said he is “disappointed” that the exam body responsible for the the new transfer test suggested schools would be open at the weekend as results were announced.
Around 14,000 pupils across Northern Ireland received results on Saturday of a new streamlined transfer test system. Despite this, NI's mental health champion Prpfessor Siobhan O'Neill said the pressure on children created by academic selection remained "unethical and harmful."
