The new phonebook's here, but since they don't list weight changes in spring there's even less than usual to glean from the updated rosters. The big notes: Jalen Perry is gone. Alessandro Lorenzetti moved to DL. Kalel Mullings is an LB/RB. Order of the positions seems significant? The new guys have numbers, and some of them have interesting weights. Also there were some position changes among younger players. So let's be thorough anyways. DEPARTURES One guy in Michigan remembers Perry. [Patrick Barron] The only one that wasn't announced already was cornerback Jalen Perry. Can't say that's much of a surprise since he barely played in four years, and when he'd get mention it was behind all the freshmen. Aside from his special teams work (see photo above), he did get in as Michigan's backup nickel last year, in non-competitive situations. Seth March 1st, 2021 at 1:10 PM They put out a spring roster. It only has a few things of interest in it but we respect tradition so here’s your jerk: POSITION CHANGES Jack Stewart OL >“DL”. It looks like one of the bench guards is going to take a shot at the much shallower depth chart at defensive tackle. Stewart was kind of a lost man at guard, where Zak Zinter played as a true freshman and several more touted guys in Stewart’s class like Barnhart, Keegan, Jones, and Rumler have gotten a lot more mention. David Ojabo “DL” >”LB”. This is not much of a change. Ojabo arrived late in practice last year and when he was technically a SAM and in fact just an edge rusher. The move to more of a base multiple has a job for that called linebacker. ....
