Colgate Partners with LiquiGlide on a Slick Toothpaste Pack

The transparent tube for Colgate s new Elixir toothpaste is treated with LiquiGlide so the thick product can be easily and fully dispensed.
Colgate is one of three partners which include industrial designer Yves Béhar and the Mibelle Group working with LiquiGlide on packaging designs that help sticky or slow products flow, and eliminate waste.
LiquiGlide, inventor of a technology that lets consumers dispense every drop of product from specially coated packages, is creating innovative partnerships in the packaging and processing industries. Sustainability particularly product waste reduction is a theme in those collaborations.
Partners include Colgate, which recently launched Elixir toothpaste in a transparent, recyclable LiquiGlide package. In addition, Yves Béhar’s fuseproject design firm is partnering with LiquiGlide to design personal-care packaging, and the Mibelle Group is using LiquiGlide’s technolo ....

Squeezing a plastic tube to coax out the last of the toothpaste soon be a distant memory, thanks to new technology developed in the US. 
LiquiGlide, a chemical manufacturing company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, has partnered with Colgate to roll out its easy-flowing toothpaste solution. 
It s a non-toxic, non-stick coating that can be applied to the inside of packaging to eliminate the friction between solids and liquids.
This means toothpaste will effortlessly slide out, rather than having to be painfully prised out from every last nook and cranny of the tube. 
European consumers can now try the coating out with Colgate s new Elixir line, developed in partnership with LiquiGlide. ....
