A number of COVID-19 restrictions loosened last week as Santa Clara County moved out of the state’s highest risk tier, allowing some local businesses to reopen or expand their in-person operations.
Curves Los Altos owner Mimi Ly said she was “ecstatic” to open her gym Monday after having to close for nearly four months. Gyms and fitness centers were forced to shut their doors in mid-November as COVID-19 cases spiked but are now allowed to open indoors at 10% capacity.
Ly and her staff are using the experience they gained when they were first able to reopen last fall to inform their plans this time around.
