Multiple healthcare workers have reached out to FOX 4 about safety concerns following the shooting that killed two nurses in the mother/baby unit at Methodist Dallas Medical Center on Saturday.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner says one of the victims was 45-year-old Jacqueline Pokuaa. Family members confirmed to FOX 4 the second victim was nurse Annette Flowers.
Nestor Hernandez is on parole for an aggravated robbery he committed in 2015, and had an active ankle monitor at the time of the shooting. Hernandez was granted permission to be at the hospital to be with his significant other during and after delivery, according to TDCJ.
