In roughly a year since COVID-19 reached Brevard County, Brevard Public Schools has reported over 2,000 COVID-19 cases.
The school district has seen 2,385 COVID-19 cases since Aug. 31, and saw an increase of 439 COVID-19 cases in February. Its most recent report, from Feb. 26 to March 2, included 37 cases, eight of them employees and 29 students.
During that time period, 393 employees and students quarantined due to exposure from the virus. Over two-thirds (298) quarantined due to contact with cases within the school district, and 95 people quarantined due to contact with a case in the community or their household. ....
