sin city. tonight at 11:00, we go undercover to check out some of these operations. thank you. two of the biggest technology companies in the world have been locked in a heated court battle. apple accusing samsung of stealing its ideas. and today, a jury agreed as our mark sayre reports, samsung now owes apple $900 million but jurors from the trial say it s more than just the money. reporter: since the legal process does not move as fast as the pace of technology, this case surrounds some older products including the samsung galaxy s2. a previous jury found samsung did violate apple s patents but this jury was tasked with deciding a big portion of the damages. some jurors say they feel apple simply made a better case that it was harmed and samsung didn t put on enough evidence nor witnesses. we had way more information from apple. and i think we were left wondering why we hadn t gotten other information from samsung. we didn t have much to counter it with. reporter:

mandatory evacuations are in place up north in napa because of a wildfire that s threatening 20 homes in the canyon area. hundreds of firefighters have the fire 25% contained right now now. fire started around 9:30 last night with the strong winds that quickly grew to hundreds of acres. red cross has sed set up a shelter to help the folks. fire started near soma canyon road. also shady oaks drive, ridge drive and chimney rock road. the fire is visible from silverado trail. we have a crew on the scene. we re going to bring you a live report coming up. the high winds killed a man in oakland. joe vazquez reports a motorcyclist died on austin street when a large tree branch fell on him. we heard like a loud bang from the house. when we came out, then we saw when the paramedics showed up and pretty much the paramedics told us to stay away from the area. according to witnesses, the branch fell from way up there, and you can see how it came right down in this yard, and now i
