New Merril Lundman VA Outpatient Clinic opens their doors to veterans on January 20, 2021


HAVRE, Mont. - Veterans in Havre and along the hi-line will now have access to a new state of the art facility for the best possible care.
This is the second VA outpatient clinic in Montana to be designed around the patient aligned care team model, or PACT Model. The first being the Great Falls VA Outpatient Clinic.
This clinic will give over 500 veterans one place for all their healthcare needs including exams, mental health, telehealth specialists and women’s health.
“It’s approximately three times larger than the previous clinic. It is a one-stop shop. They can do their primary care… It’s just meeting the needs of all of our veterans in the area, Tracy Puryear, the telehealth supervisor for Montana VA Health Care System said.  ....

U.S. Sen. Jon Tester D-Mont. visited the soon-to-be-opened Merril Lundman VA Clinic at the Holiday Village Mall Wednesday, and said it is an impressive facility that will make local veterans proud.
The new clinic is nearly three times the size of its pervious location on 13th Street was designed to make use of the VA’s Patient Aligned Care Team — PACT — model, which is meant to make it a one-stop shop for nearly all veterans medical needs.
Tester said this is especially important since so many veterans have multiple interlocking medical problems, all of which need to be addressed c. ....

GREAT FALLS — The Montana VA Health Care System (MTVAHCS) announced on Monday that that the new Merril Lundman VA Outpatient Clinic will open in Havre next month.
The new site at 1753 US Highway 2 NW, Suite 3, will open its doors on January 20, 2021. The new site provides more than 3,000 square feet of space which increases the clinic size by almost 300% compared to the previous clinic (1,136 square feet).
“We are excited to provide Havre area Veterans a clinic that is only the second in Montana to be designed entirely around the VA’s Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model,” said Executive Director Dr. Judy Hayman in a news release. “It has been a MTVAHCS priority to provide integrated and streamlined care in Havre and the new PACT-designed Merril Lundman VA clinic makes this possible.” ....

The new location of the Merril Lundman VA Outpatient Clinic will open in the Holiday Village Mall in Havre on inauguration day, Jan. 20.
A press release from the Montana Veterans Administration Health Care System announced the opening and says the new location will provide more than 3,000 square feet of space, nearly tripling the size of the previous location.
The original Merril Lundman VA Clinic located on 13th Street was named after a Havre-area veteran who fought to get a clinic in the area until his death Dec. 22, 2007, at age 64, which preceded the announcement of the clinic opening. ....
