We have a few light showers from the east coast throughout the night. Just a few drops on otherwise, the temperatures in the 70s. 75 in tampa. 68 in zephyrhills. And getting to 87 for today. And your mornings are likely to stay mild as well. Were talking about lows in the 70s. So above average temperatures as we head into the weekend, leslee lacey. 70s, how exciting. Seemed like yesterday when it was scorching. Yeah. Well, traffic, we are heading off to a sad today. And westbound i4 connecting to southbound 275 is blocked. And so what happens is youre taken northbound on 275. Weve got our photographer eric live on the scene. And what you are looking at right now is westbound i4. As he zooms in, its
All these white lights. Whats happening is all the traffic on westbound i4 is being diverted to northbound 275 at Martin Luther king and so thats where everyone is exiting. So weve got big delays. Actually, more than what you would think here as i move over and take a quick look. This is whats happening, again, diverted to Martin Luther king so 30 minute delays through i4. And that is a mess. And then also, you have continued delays over at the exit. Take the downtown tampa. Dont mess with westbound i4. Hillsborough a twoday right at wall on the way, waltonway, injuries involved in that crash. And earlier possible fatal crash, county line road at gateway boulevard, that has cleared from the roadway. So traffic has been a mess this morning actioner ed. What morning, ed, what about the weather . Well, thankfully the weather not near of a mess. Morning. Got some upper up upper 60s to the north. 85 is the average. We will hit 87 as we go into this afternoon. Again, staying slightly above w
Lets get to Ed Bloodsworth. We are in Great Condition this morning. The only real issue across the state, just a few showers on the east coast and they are going to try to work inland and they are going to have a hard time in the day ahead. Temperatures this morning, it is mild. Still low 70s which is above average. Upper 60s for inverness and brooksville. But all in all, not too bad of a morning. It is going to be another warm afternoon as we hit 87 low of 71. Down the road, big changes ahead. Ill tell you that coming up in a bit. A big check of the roads this morning. Down the road, isnt that a Kenny Chesney song . I believe it is. Ehrlich road, very, very good drive either direction. Lets take a look at manatee and Sarasota County, state road 64 to fruitville road, nine minutes. Only 11 minutes. A little bit of construction at 75 and university, thats typical. Heres 275 around kennedy off the Howard Frankland bridge, it is a wonderful drive. Thats a look at weather and traffic. Back
A little above that in some areas. And 68 for dade city and brooksville this morning. And all in all, not too bad of a start to a brand new work and school week here. And we will have a continued east, northeast breeze. And we are stuck in the pattern. That will drive just a few light sprinkles in from the east coast through today. And going to keep it warm, 87 degrees. And numbers about three degrees above average and we will break down the to expect the next eight days temperaturewise. Well, we dont have any bad changes or too many changes with traffic right now because it looks great, folks. This is u. S. 19 through palm harbor, up to speed. U. S. 41, land olakes looking good as well. And eastbound on i4 before u. S. 27, we have a collision but its off to the side of the roadway. And traffic looks very good. And no injuries involved outside of the davenport area. And construction remains but westbound, one lane taken away at i75. Thats a look at weather and traffic. Back to candace
Commute weatherwise, flying out of Tampa International airport this morning. No problems this morning. Could see a few showers possible this afternoon, already getting going on the east coast. And even occasional lightning near Cape Canaveral this morning. 67 in zephyrhills. Wimauma, youre 69. And starting off at 74 for the wakeup temperature in st. Pete this morning. Your average high is 84. And we will jump to 87 this afternoon. Now thats coming off of yesterdays abnormally warm high of 90. Quite warm as well here. The warm streak continues. Big changes down to road. Ill tell you about that in a bit. And lets check out the roads with leslee lacey. Still looking good. Good. More vehicles on the roadway. We have an accident here but its off to the side of the roadway. Not tying up lanes eastbound i 4 before you get to u. S. 27. Again, absolutely no delays. Not a traffic factor.
