There are exemptions for religious or health reasons, which must be formally requested, documented, and approved. PRIMGHARâMiranda Gebhartâs dedication to her patients at MercyOne Primghar Medical Center has not gone unnoticed by her peers.
The 44-year-old advanced registered nurse practitioner recently was honored with the 100 Great Iowa Nurses Award, which recognizes outstanding nurses in the Hawkeye State each year.
Gebhart learned she had been chosen for inclusion on the list in February after one of her colleagues nominated her anonymously. She and the other honorees will be recognized in a virtual ceremony set for Sunday, May 2.
She said being selected for the recognition was a humbling experience and credited the staff at MercyOne Primghar for helping her to excel at what she does.
