The Food Corporation of India and State procurement agencies have so far procured 33.8 million tonnes (mt) of wheat compared with 24.8 mt procured during the corresponding period last year. This is already 79 per cent of 42.7 mt target set for the current rabi season, Union Food and Public Distribution Secretary Sudhanshu Pandey said on Monday.
While around 12.87 mt procured have been procured from Punjab, 9.49 mt and 8.07 mt of wheat have been purchased from farmers in Madhya Pradesh and Haryana, respectively. Uttar Pradesh, on the other hand, contributed around 2.01 mt and Rajasthan’s share has been 1.17 mt. ....

In order to offer convenience to the citizens, the Government of India keeps on launching new mobile applications. Now, the government has launched a new ration app called âMera Rationâ which will help the users to get friendly with the new âOne Nation-One Ration Cardâ system. According to the government, the new ration app will prove useful to those ration card holders who move to new places for livelihoods.
With the help of the One Nation One Ration Card system, the government covers 69 crore National Food Security Act (NFSA) beneficiaries in India. The NFSA beneficiaries are used by the government to provide more than 81 crore people with âhighly subsidised foodgrainsâ through the public distribution system (PDS).Â ....

The government of India has launched a new ration app called ‘Mera Ration’ to facilitate the ‘One Nation-One Ration Card’ system in the country. The new mobile app will help those ration card holders who move to new places for livelihoods. The app is currently available on the Android platform.
