According to Nova Scotia Power's outage map, more than 4,000 customers lost electricity Monday night. Halifax Regional Police say a motor vehicle crash led to downed power lines.

He also took the Courtauld’s special first year course at nights and gaining a certificate in renaissance art.    After teaching at Fossdene Secondary School in Greenwich, Mr Young transferred his evening studies to the academic diploma in the history of art held at the National Gallery, which he completed in 1958.  He then joined the Institute of Contemporary Arts and the Society for Education through Art (SEA), spoke at its annual convention in 1956 and was then appointed organiser of a four-day humanity, technology and education conference at London’s Royal Festival Hall.  Mr Young teamed up with philosopher HJ Blackham to become editor of the subsequent report of the conference, before being invited to take on the editor role of the SEA journal Athene in 1957.

Kilkenny court: Petrol thief sentenced to two months behind bars Reporter:   ); A man who admitted to driving off without paying for petrol was sentenced to two months in prison at Kilkenny District Court. Stephen Maher, 35 Melville Cove, Finglas, Dublin 11 admitted the offence which took place at Carroll’s Petrol Station at Knocktopher, Kilkenny on October 23, 2019. Sergeant Morgan O’Connor told the court that on the date in question the defendant drove into the forecout and filled up with vehicle with €85 worth of petrol and made no attempt to pay for it and then drove off. The court heard evidence that the defendant, who is 23, is unempolyed as a result of the pandemic.
