Brookline’s First Light a hit, despite COVID restrictions Melony Forcier / [email protected] Brookline rang in the holiday season virtually last week with the town’s annual First Light Celebration. Given restrictions surrounding COVID-19, the festival was moved to a completely online platform, and local businesses took a different approach from years past to ensure Brookline residents safety while still keeping the festival s tradition alive. Instead of the celebration taking place over the course of one day, like in years past, First Light was a week-long extravaganza starting Dec. 3 and ending at midnight on Dec. 10.
