Trial date set for Leigh Corfman defamation lawsuit against Roy Moore Updated Apr 15, 2021; A judge on Thursday set a trial date in the defamation lawsuit against former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore filed by the woman who claimed she was sexually molested by Moore as a teen. Circuit Judge John Rochester set a Nov. 1 date for the trial in the case brought by Leigh Corfman, whose 2017 allegations against Moore upended his Senate campaign a month before voters went to the polls in the special election.
