Mask Mandate, Student Athletics and Scholarship Recipients were on the agenda on the April SCSD #2 Meeting Scott Stults presented the eight seniors that received the UW Trustees Scholars award. They are: Megan Hoffmann, Micall Hoopes, Fisher Burris, Tyler Hegy, Marguerite Hubert, Brayden James, Julia Kutz, and Kathryn Moran. All plan to attend UW, and chairman Sue Wilson congratulated the students. Don Julian, activities director, introduced the SHS wrestling champions, and the indoor track team champions. Superintendent Craig Dougherty reported on the Smart Start, which is a partnership with Sheridan County Public Health, which is a way of continuing to evaluate the impact of Covid-19. Some 101 outstanding high school seniors from across Wyoming have been selected to receive the 2021 Trustees’ Scholars Award, the University of Wyoming’s top academic scholarship. The premier scholarship for Wyoming resident high school seniors covers actual credit hours taken as well as room and board costs for eight semesters at UW, starting with the fall 2021 semester. Students from 34 high schools were chosen. Students from Sheridan High School awarded the scholarship are Fisher Burris, Tyler Hegy, Megan Hoffmann, Micall Hoopes, Marguerite Hubert, Brayden James, Logan Jensen, Julia Kutz and Kathryn Moran. Kendall Redinger, from Big Horn High School, was awarded the scholarship and Kaylin Gosney, from Kaycee High School. ....
