Nifty IT index has lagged behind Nifty 50 in the last year, but experts believe that the sector could witness a revival with improving macros and cost efficiency measures.
Tata Digital India Fund was launched on December 28, 2015. The size of the fund is ₹9,272 crore. In the past one year, the fund has delivered a return of 31.90 percent while the three-year CAGR return is 20.89 percent.
While Accenture s latest growth guidance is indicating a subdued near-term outlook for the sector, fund managers and analysts said the US central bank s dovish tilt has reduced the risk of earnings downgrades. The next big trigger for the sector would be signs of deal wins by IT firms, they said.
Of the 46 stocks, about 29 smallcap stocks scaled fresh 52-week highs in the last week. Some of the popular names in the smallcap list are SpiceJet, Latent View Analytics, SeQuent Scientific, Morepen Laboratories, Bliss GVS Pharma, SML Isuzu, Anand Rathi Wealth, Edelweiss Financial Services, Prataap Snacks, and 63 Moons Technologies.
A glimpse of this could be seen in the strong inflows in thematic/sectoral funds. Thematic/sectoral funds have garnered inflows of more than Rs 18,900 crore, so far in 2023.
