LUCKNOW: In a sensational breakthrough, sleuths of Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force, from Lucknow nabbed three accused of committing daylight robbery in a Mumbai jewellery showroom on Wednesday morning.
Those arrested were identified as Vinay Kumar, Dinesh Nishad and Shailendra Kumar hailing from different districts in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The trio were arrested from Dewa road in Chinhat.
Cops also recovered two country made pistols and huge cache of jewellery along with Rs 53,000 cash from their possession.
Deputy superintendent of police, STF, Deepak Kumar Singh, who led the operation said that the gang members were planning to loot a jewellery shop in Lucknow but were nabbed. ....

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 23 (ANI): A gang of four, including three women were on Saturday arrested for allegedly duping a Mumbai jeweller by mortgaging fake gold ornaments to avail of jewellery loans.
Police said that on January 20, the jeweller Mahendra Bafna lodged a complaint at Dahisar police station against a woman whom he alleged visited his shop to mortgage a chain, which she claimed to be gold but later turned out to be an imitation.
The woman also could not produce a bill for the ornament claiming it be a gift. ....
