Five looted in daylight robbery on NH-29

Our ReporterDimapur, July 6 (EMN): In a delayed report, three unidentified miscreants who posed themselves as “police personnel from crime branch” stopped a car on NH-29 stretch near Pherima on June 30 last and reportedly looted cash and other belongings of the car’s occupants. When contacted, the president of Poumai Naga Hoho Dimapur, told this reporter that the hoho had filed a First Information Report (FIR) at Chümoukedima Police Station on July 1 after the victims narrated the incident to the hoho on June 30. The hoho president narrated that on June 30, a Hyundai Venue car with five occupants, who were on their way to Dimapur from Senapati, was blocked and sandwiched by two Bolero vehicles without registration numbers in broad daylight. The unidentified miscreants in the two Boleros, who posed as police personnel from crime branch, allegedly told the occupants of the Hyundai car that they had received a tip-off that their vehicle was carrying some illegal items.
