Sky Studios and Gaumont have teamed on “The Wasp,” the first Sky original comedy to be produced for Sky Deutschland.
The six-part series follows Eddie Frotzke, a fallen professional dart player who, after a prolonged career slump, wants to return to his former glory. With the help of his old buddy Nobbe, also a rusty dart pro but dealing with a drinking habit, Eddie wants to find his way back into life and his career, proving that he was not called “The Wasp” for nothing. ....

Italian Oscar submission 'Notturno' finds US distribution | News

Notturno that flies the flag for Italy in the international feature film Oscar race.
The boutique division and incubator from Neon picked up rights from Submarine.
Notturno premiered at Venice Film Festival and was selected by Telluride, Toronto, and New York film festivals. It won three awards in Venice including the Cinema for UNICEF award.

“Notturno,” the documentary from Gianfranco Rosi and Italy’s Oscar submission to the Best International Film race, has landed a North American release from Super LTD, the boutique division and incubator from Neon.
“Notturno” was shot over three years in the Middle East and observes how people there have been affected by war and by ISIS. It premiered at Venice earlier this fall and also played Toronto, New York and was selected for Telluride. It won three awards at Venice including the Cinema for UNICEF award and has already been nominated for a Critics’ Choice Documentary Award. ....
