67.5% Decline In Saffron Production Since 2010-11 In Kashmir: GoI

Srinagar: There has been a whopping 67.5% decline in production of Saffron in Kashmir Valley from 2010-11 to 2023-24, the government said on Tuesday.
“As per the estimates provided by the Office of Financial Commissioner (Revenue), UT of Jammu & Kashmir, the production of saffron in Jammu and Kashmir has decreased from 8.0 MT in 2010-11 to 2.6 MT in 2023-24 ....

CAG red flags incomplete work on 397 projects worth Rs 1,518 crore

Jammu: Nearly 400 public welfare projects in Jammu and Kashmir remained incomplete despite incurring an expenditure of over Rs 1,000 crore over the past decade till the end of financial year 2021-22, the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has said.
As many as 378 of these projects were taken up by different government departments between 2019 and 2022, the CAG said ....
