COVID pandemic impacts have been financially 'extremely difficult'

Owner of McLeod Tours, Lincoln McLeod, has spoken to Sky News about the hardships his family-run business has had to endure over the course of the pandemic.

McLeod Tours is a Western Australia-based business, allowing people to experience the spectacular Margaret River region through a variety of tours.

Mr McLeod said what has been experienced has been financially "extremely difficult".

"Ultimately we need the interstate travel and we can't wait to welcome people to this beautiful part of the world," Mr McLeod told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

Mr Kenny also spoke to the Tourism and Transport Forum CEO Margy Osmond about how the industry is faring.

"I think it's time to read the writing on the wall," Ms Osmond said.

"The tourism industry is uniquely different to everybody else, we are suffering at a rate that nobody else is.

"And if the government wants to have a tourism industry this ....
