Seguin, TX, USA / Seguin Today May 24, 2021 | 7:38 AM (Seguin) – The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs (32-4) are returning to the NCAA Division III Softball national finals and will play in defense of their 2019 national championship after defeating Emory & Henry (Va.) 10-2 in five innings Sunday for the Seguin, Texas Regional Championship. TLU went a perfect 4-0 in the regional, played at the Bulldogs’ Ed Kruse Stadium (Morck Softball Field). The top-seeded Bulldogs opened with a 21-3 win over No. 6 seed Cedar Crest (Pa.) on Friday, eliminated No. 3 seed Christopher Newport (Va.) 4-2 on Saturday afternoon, and defeated Emory & Henry 5-0 Saturday evening to advance to the regional championship. ....

The Bulldogs blanked the Crusaders 9-0 on Friday and won Saturday’s games 14-0 and 15-3. ....
Seguin, TX, USA / Seguin Today Feb 5, 2021 11:07 AM (San Antonio) – Texas Lutheran split a Thursday night doubleheader against NCAA Division II program St. Mary’s (Texas) with TLU taking the first game 4-2 and the Rattlers grabbing the second game 4-3. Both games counted as regular-season contests for TLU, the defending national champion of NCAA Division III. The two games were counted as exhibitions for St. Mary’s. In the Bulldog victory, second-year freshman Sydney Ouellette went the distance in the circle. The 5-10 right-hander allowed two earned runs, scattered six hits, and struck out five. Ouellette (1-0) worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the seventh to secure the win. ....
