Boone Rotary’s Ride to End Polio slated for Saturday

While Polio is not a disease that affects many Americans, it is still a deadly ailment that affects the lives of people, most notably, in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Locally, the Boone Rotary Club is hosting a Ride to End Polio on March 27 to be held at McHose Park, 1215 Francis Mason Dr., Boone.
Jamie Rabe and Lisa Nerem are coordinating the event.
“People can walk, ride, run, play basketball or lift weights any activity can be applied to this,” Rabe said. “Our goal is to have all our Rotarians raise $30, through any activity.” ....
