Serum Institute of India (SII) has announced its partnership with the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) network, based in Oslo. This collaboration aims to facilitate the swift development and supply of outbreak vaccines, particularly for Disease X or unknown pathogenic threats, in Global South countries. CEPI is investing up to $30 million to enhance SII s capacity for rapid vaccine supply during epidemics and pandemics.
The collaboration is meant to shorten the time taken to manufacture early batches of experimental vaccines in response to an escalating outbreak within 100 days
In the second batch, the government had listed 27 new properties, free from any legal hindrances, and added to the list of 10 properties which remained unsold in the first auction, said officials. The properties were identified as agricultural land valued below ?1 crore each. They were recommended for sale by the Enemy Property Disposal Committee and approved by the Union home ministry.
The Union home ministry is now gearing up for sale of the second batch of "enemy properties" spread across India. It is vested with MHA which has given its control and management to the office of CEPI. The list of the first batch of 31 properties was recommended by the Enemy Property Disposal Committee.
