Storms fizzled out before reaching most of us. I do not think that will be the case this afternoon and early evening. This second round of storms may come into play for several Area High School football games. Right now. A new city task the Water Quality task force is supposed to come up with solutions to prevent lead contamination in the water. Pete zervakis is live at city hall where the meeting just wrapped up. The task force that gathered here at city hall was put together as a precaution. The city says right now the water supply is safe, clean and ok to drink. But some Service Lines that transport the water throughout the city lead. Which can seep into the that puts some homes those built before 1951 at risk. James bohl points out that lead can from a homes internal plumbing. Thats harder to track. I dont think its accurate to say remove lead service line Young Children are particularly at risk. Saved kur consumers a lot of money. The other thing when we go to save rules or law in financial area to protect consumers were met with criticism its going to dry up access to credit. Nobody will lend if they have to protect consumers, like its a horrible, unmentionable, impossible to understand objective. In this case, what we were able to determine was that the access to credit issues were limited. To the extent there was constriction in access to credit parcelled out in the crisis which caused restrictions on access to credit, they were in terms of product lines utilized by consumers, theres still plenty of unused product line. It was cut back in that regard. Some intended by the act. There were a lot of concerns about College Students going off to college, leaving home, having credit cards actively marketed to them and getting into credit where they had no apparent income to repay. Israel has the right to live in peace and security with its neighbors. There is no substitute for negotiations. Todays vote underscores the urgency of meaningful negotiations.
