The National Weather Service has issued advisories in Louisville through the rest of the week due to rising Ohio River levels causing flooding in some areas. 
The McAlpine Lock and Dam s upper and lower gauges reached flood stage Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, and the river is expected to crest there Saturday. Flood stage at the upper gauge is 23 feet. It is 55 feet at the lower gauge. 
A flood warning was issued this week for areas along the Ohio River and is expected to last until Monday at 8 p.m., according to meteorologist Dan McKemy.  ....

Flood warning issued in Louisville as Ohio River continues to climb

The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for Louisville Tuesday, following a weekend of rainfall that blanketed the state and caused rising river levels.
The warning was issued around noon. It means flooding is imminent or occurring.
Most of the concern is for flooding along the Ohio River, which could cause flooding on River Road, yards in the Shawnee neighborhood and Ind. 111, according to meteorologist Ron Steve.
The city recorded about 3.5 inches of rain Sunday, making it the rainiest Feb. 28 on record, according to the National Weather Service. It was the most rain for that date since 1.7 inches fell in 1987, according to the agency. ....
