A power outage has hit Sabie, Graskop and Hazyview in Mpumalanga - leaving thousands of residents in the dark in the aftermath of tropical storm Eloise.

Due to the heavy rain in these areas, Eskom says in a statement its teams could not fully restore electricity supply to those areas on Sunday.
“The effects of Cyclone Eloise have caused flooding access points and also trees have fallen on lines, therefore Eskom cannot safely access electricity feeders supplying the areas,” reads the statement.
