MnDOT seeks Willmar City Council blessing for changes to U.S. Highway 12 around downtown

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is working on finalizing plans for a U.S. Highway 12 project to run around downtown Willmar. The preliminary plans presented at the Willmar City Council meeting March 7, and supported by the council, included taking the current four-lane stretch of road and turning it into a three-lane corridor with a dedicated left turn lane.
