The Boone County Master Gardeners with "tall" help from the North Arkansas College Basketball team players put up 58 colorful Hanging Baskets of Flowers around the Historic downtown Harrison square Tuesday evening. Explore Harrison contributed $8,500 for the annual project. Roxana Creamer, Mayor Jerry Jackson, and Matt Bell spoke at the beginning of the event. Mayor Jerry Jackson presented his State of the City address to the community and City Council on Thursday, Feb. 22. He will make the presentation again at a presentation hosted by the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce and Black Hills Energy on Thursday, March 14, at 7:30 a.m.
Mayor Jerry Jackson wants to extend a huge “Thank you” to the community of Harrison for pitching in and taking care of each other, providing shelter for the homeless as well as hot meals, coffee, and cocoa for many over the weekend.
