Texas authorities are investigating the death of Drill Sgt. Jessica Mitchell, found in a bullet-riddled car on a San Antonio interstate.
According to a statement made by San Antonio police, the first responders thought they were heading to a car-crash in the fast lane. Instead, shortly after 2 a.m., they found a white Dodge Challenger bullet-riddled on the driver’s side door and window. The highway was then shut down for a while to allow investigation.
“Officers opened the vehicle door and checked for a pulse on the victim (who) appeared to have been struck multiple times,” the police. Mitchell was transported by ambulance to University Hospital and pronounced dead a little after 3 a.m.
