Johnson & Johnson anunció este jueves que su vacuna contra el COVID-19 “Janssen”, es efectiva contra la variante Delta, la cual es altamente contagiosa.
Según los investigadores, los anticuerpos y células del sistema inmunológico de ocho personas que recibieron la vacuna de J&J pudieron neutralizar con eficacia dicha mutación.
Asimismo, otro estudio con 20 pacientes inmunizados en el Centro Médico Beth Israel de Boston presentó datos similares.
“Creemos que nuestra vacuna ofrece una protección duradera contra el Covid-19 y provoca una actividad neutralizante contra la variante Delta , dijo Paul Stoffels, director científico de J&J, en un comunicado de la compañía.
