Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom of Benue on Thursday, reacted to the abduction of schoolboys from Katsina State, saying it means nowhere is safe in the country.
The Governor said the incident that happened in Government Science Secondary School in Kankara Local Government Area, explains that nowhere is safe in the country.
The BREAKING TIMES had last week reported that Boko Haram abducted some students from Government Science Secondary School in Kankara, Katsina State.
Boko Haram in a released video had claimed the students were abducted to encourage Islam and discourage western education.
Gov Ortom condemned the abduction of the students in Katsina.

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, on Thursday, reacted to the abduction of students from Katsina State.
Ortom said the abduction of Government Science Secondary School in Kankara Local Government Area was an indication that nowhere is safe in Nigeria, NAN reports.
Recall that Boko Haram had last week abducted some students from Government Science Secondary School in Kankara Local Government of Katsina State.
The abduction occurred at a time when President Muhammadu Buhari was in his hometown, Daura on a private visit.
However, Ortom condemned the abduction of the students.
The governor spoke during his visit to the Maximum Security Custodian Centre, MSCC, in Makurdi, the state capital.
He said, following the review of security situation in the state, the security council decided to ban activities to mark Christmas and new year celebrations.
The governor advised residents to celebrate the occasions in their homes in line with COVID-19 protocols, adding that they should report any suspicious movement to relevant authorities.
Earlier, Ortom directed the immediate completion of construction work at the Maximum Security Custodian Centre (MSCC) in Makurdi to decongest the existing cells.
He gave the directive during a Thursday morning working visit to the facility as he directed the Commissioner for Finance to immediately release funds for the completion of the project.
