Wednesday, 24 February 2021 - 9:53 Bilateral talks between the Prime Minister of Pakistan and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa were held at Temple Trees yesterday. Following the discussions, several Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) were signed between the Governments of Sri Lanka and Pakistan and the Prime Ministers of the two countries issued a joint statement. The Prime Minister said that the way in which the Prime Minister of Pakistan had been elevated to the top by empowering the people through his many years of political activism was remarkable. The Prime Minister also stated that the measures taken to empower the grassroots and underprivileged people are intertwined with the policies of his government.
