KARACHI: The JUI-F candidate, Maulana Gul Hassan, on Tuesday filed a petition in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), seeking re-election in PS-70 in district Badin. In his petition, JUI-F candidate Hassan charged the PPPP’s winning candidate and the Sindh government with various allegations of rigging, demanding to declare the by-election results null and void. It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians’ Dada Mohammad Halepoto had won the PS-70 by-polls, held on May 20, after securing 46,000 votes and defeating JUI-F’s Maulana Hassan, who received only 6,200 votes. ....

BADIN (Dunya News) - Polling for the by-election in Sindh Assembly constituency PS-70 Matli (Badin II) is underway today (Thursday), Dunya News reported.
The polling was started at 8:00 am and will continue without any break till 5:00 pm. There are six candidates in the run for the by election. The real contest is expected between PPP candidate Haji Muhammad Dada Halipota and JUI s Maulana Gul Hassan.
According to Election Commission, 123 polling stations have been set up in the constituency for 166,809 registered voters who are exercising their right to vote during today’s polling. ....

The voting for Badin’s PS-70 by-election started at 8am and will continue till 5pm.
The Election Commission of Pakistan has registered a total of 166,809 voters in the constituency, of which 91,587 are male and 75,222 female. At least 123 polling stations have been set up, of which 41 have been declared sensitive, while 12 highly sensitive.
Eleven candidates submitted their nomination papers for the by-polls. A tough competition is expected between PPP’s Haji Muhammad Dada and JUI’s Maulana Gul Hassan. ....

BADIN: The polling on the Sindh Assembly’s constituency PS-70 Matli (BADIN II) seat has ended and the vote count is currently underway, ARY News reported on Thursday.
The voting started at 8:00 am and continued till 5:00 pm without any break to elect a representative of the constituency in the provincial legislature.
According to unofficial and unconfirmed results of four polling stations, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Bashir Ahmed Halepoto is leading with 387 votes. JUI’s Maulana Gul Hassan is behind with 104 votes.
The seat was fallen vacant due to the death of the Pakistan People’s Party’s Bashir Ahmed Halepoto. The People’s Party has awarded a party ticket for the by-election to Ahmad Abdullah Halepoto. ....
