Maui Hotel & Lodging Association’s Spring Nā Kupuna appreciation event successfully delivered fresh tropical bouquets along with hotel prepared meals to more than 500 homebound seniors of Maui last week.
On Maui, the budget includes the addition of $6.1 million in general funds in FY24 and FY25 for the Maui Axis Deer program; $1.1 million in FY25 for six months of funding to support new housing at the Maui Community Correctional Center; and the addition of three permanent positions and $98,500 in FY24 and $200,250 in FY25 for UH Maui College’s health center.
The contract includes pay-scale adjustments for all job classifications, at least a 10.5% wage increase for all members and a lump sum payment for all members, among other benefits.
