Laurent Fressinet wins the 20th Capechecs Trophy!

From 26th October to 3rd of November 2022 the 20th edition of the Capechecs chess festival took place in Cap d’Agde in France. A total of 879 players fought in the different tournaments, from the famous Cap Echecs Trophy to various open tournaments for players of all strength. The Trophy was won by GM Laurent Fressinet after a narrow final against GM Luca Moroni, and the Open was won by GM Maxime Lagarde ahead of 49 grandmasters from 32 nations. | Photos: Pierre Textoris ....

REYKJAJVIK  (Iceland), Apr 12:  Young Indian Grandmaster R Pragganandhaa on Tuesday won the prestigious Reykjavik Open chess tournament here with 7.5 points from nine rounds. The 16-year-old Pragganandhaa defeated compatriot GM D Gukesh in the final round to emerge sole winner. Praggnanandhaa turned things around in the all-Indian battle after his opponent blundered when he appeared to be losing.
