All Saints Church parish running out of options to preserve the building

“Everything has been pushed off to external consultants, and no-one local has taken local leadership.”
Speaking after Sunday morning’s service at the community centre at the back of the church, parishioner Mike Sahayam said he was disappointed and could not understand the decision.
He said the church had offered to take on the multi-million project to preserve the church for the city, but the refusal of consent to make any changes to it put it at risk of being demolished.
Anglican Bishop of Wellington Justin Duckworth said on Sunday the whole church community was gutted by the decision. “There is a bit of grieving to be done.” ....
