North Caroline starts the season 2-0 with the big win over Kent Island March 13, 2021 RIDGLEY, Del.- Behing three touchdowns (2 pass, 1 rush) from senior QB Alex Walstrum, the North Caroline Bulldogs defeated Kent Island 26-20 to start the season 2-0. The loss drops the Buccaneers to 0-1. The Buccaneers got out in front early with a first quarter touchdown but the Bulldogs responded to end the quarter. Alex Walstrum found Mason McFadden in the end zone to cut it to a 7-6 lead (XP NO GOOD). After a KI three and out, the Bulldogs took advantage. Walstrum tossed his second TD of the game, this one to Ryan Boyd to take the lead 14-7. On the ensuing Buccaneers drive, KI got to the ground attack. On a second down carry up the gut, Calvin Johnson outran the entire defense to the end zone to make it a 14-13 NC lead at the half. ....
