North Yorkshire school named in Tes Schools Awards 2021 Shortlist A NORTH Yorkshire school has made the Tes Schools Awards 2021 Shortlist in two categories. As one of the biggest nights in the UK education calendar, the annual awards honours the educators and campaigners making a difference in our schools. Malton School won a place on the Maths Teacher or Team of the Year category while Sam Craggs was named in the New Teacher of the Year category. In the 2021, there were 16 categories as well as two special awards, honouring a Lifetime Achievement and Overall School of the Year. Jon Severs, Chief judge of the Tes Schools Awards and Editor of Tes magazine, said: “It is more important this year than ever before to celebrate the fantastic work schools do, because in the past 12 months they have gone above and beyond to ensure pupils were able to be educated and be kept safe in extraordinary circumstances.
