Then he opens the car door, eventually and points the gun. Thats when shots were fired. Family members say he was protecting his family inside the house and didnt know who the two cops were outside. The chief said they never announced themselves. The officers never announced themselves because they were not there to arrest him or have any contact with him. Stanley though was involved in an assault with a deadly weapon back in march. He had been arrested and out on bail. Officers were there gathering information about additional charges that came out. Family members say they were all arrested and police ransacked the home before telling them stanley was killed. Search warrant was obtained for the house so a search was conducted in the residence.
