cold front moving through the ohio valley, bringing the threat of severe weather and rain toward the northeast. cnn mat rolgs allison chinchar joins us now. this is the front in question. bringing rain and thunderstorms across the mississippi valley as well as the ohio valley as we go through the day today. there is a potential for strong to severe storms mixed in. damaging winds, large hail that could exceed golf ball size and isolated tornados. the concern for the hail is going to be limited and a little bit farther south. memphis in particular has a higher threat for some of the areas for tornados specifically. again, as we go through the afternoon, you will start to see a lot more of these begin to fire up. once we get to dinner time, you are starting to see a lot of lines begin to form, especially around little rock, arkansas.
