TC Entertainment Schedules 'Manga Mitokoumon' Blu-ray Anime Release

TC Entertainment is stepping into the archives once again for a new Blu-ray release with the
Manga Mitokoumon property. The 1981 series ran for 46 episodes and is being released across three Blu-ray discs, which is definitely a bump up from how TC Entertainment usually crams episodes onto their releases. The set is scheduled for an April 30th, 2021 debut where it’ll be priced at 32,000 yen.
The set comes with a booklet and will include the pilot for the series and two pilots for other projects that never went to series.
The series was directed by Kazuyuki OPkasako with character designs by Keisuke Morishita. Production was handled by Knack for TV Tokyo. ....

Crunchyroll Adds Go Nagai's 'Psycho Armor Govarian' Anime Streaming

Discotek Media previously acquired the pretty obscure 1983 anime series
Psycho Armor Govarian for release and back in 2018 and the distributor brought it out with a February 25th, 2020 debut for the release where it was priced at $39.95. The series is now making the leap to streaming in North America as Crunchyroll has added the run with it in its original Japanese with English subtitles here. Availability is limited to the US and Canada.
The twenty-six episode series comes from Go Nagai as the original creator and was directed by Seiji Okuda.
The Japanese cast for the show includes Yoshikazu Hirano as Isamu Napoto, Hideki Fukushi as Karim Atlas, Masako Miura as Lisa Achika, Naoki Tatsuta as Kurt Buster, Hirotaka Suzuoki as Domson, Kazuhiko Inoue as Christo, and Kazuya Tatekabe as Zeku Alba. ....

TOKYO A survey targeting residents of seven prefectures including Tokyo and Osaka found that about half of respondents are facing serious stress in their lives amid the coronavirus pandemic, as some individuals are staying at home persistently while others have gone out after growing tired from being confined indoors.
As the second state of emergency to stem coronavirus infections in Japan has been extended, the public will be asked to continue to refrain from nonessential and nonurgent outings, not to mention drinking out, in order to reinforce anti-infection measures. ....
