Chase circle. Theres 24 hours in a day, 7 hours in a week. Its a bad time. But the Maryland Transportation Administration says dont blame it, its the crumbling pavement beneath connecticut avenue. The whole timing i guess. The Highway Administration found out the pavement is bad about the same time the first drivers got stuck in this mess. Replacing the bad base requires around the clock work. I suppose its better than a sinkhole swallowing a car up. Even the side roads are getting fed up. Bill maloney lives on Chevy Chase Circle and doubts he will do much traveling until the road paving is finished. There are worse things. I planned a trip to kensington, im not going to make it. The latest, northbound is probably going to squeeze down to one lane until sometime tomorrow night, and get this, then work begins on the southbound stretch. That means southbound commuters will be squeezing down to one lane as well, and doing so until sometime this weekend. Avoid it. Stay home. Telecommute. F
