that one of the residents at the ravenwood nursing home called 911 tuesday morning to report that the air-conditioner had been broken since friday. officials visited the facility later in the day. upon their arrival, they found a building that was very warm and possibly uncomfortable for the adults that reside in that facility. the director of the state office of health care quality shut that an inspection of the building not only one of the four high velocity and conditioners work. ravenwood was proactive in moving residents to where the air was working and was in the process of installing temporary air-conditioner is. the problem is that the situation was never reported to the state. we felt that the facility had done what they were supposed to do in terms of caring for the residents. the only thing that they did not do was report to us that they were having a problem. the state helped relocate 60 of the most vulnerable residents on tuesday until the air- cond ....

the grass is dormant, flowers are wilting, but those are not signs of a drought. experts are looking below ground for that. the heat and lack of rain has scorched the earth. while it may appear on the service that we are on the cusp of a drought, officials at the state environment the state looking below the ground, we re ok for now. and with of that we looked at ground water levels and reservoir levels. according to the department of public works, reservoirs are down 2% from last week. but authorities say water tables are fine, thanks to a record snowfall and an unusually wet spring. in this current water year we have had a lot of rain and people forget how much rain we have had earlier in the year. we asked dtw officials in each of the counties throughout the city whether they would consider putting restrictions on water use and they all said no. however, if the month of july and august remained dry, some experts warn we may have to reconsider. we are no ....
