A FINE has been handed to an Andover man for damaging a cell while in custody. Michael Haig, of Garden Close, was ordered to pay £150 by Basingstoke Magistrates Court for damaging a police custody cell in Basingstoke to the value of £200. The 20-year-old was given a conditional discharge of six months for the offence.
Driving ban A WINCHESTER man has been disqualified from driving after being found at over twice the drink drive limit. Robert Britt, of Monarch Way, was in charge of a Maserati in Sutton Scotney when he was found to have 89 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on October 26. The legal limit is 35.
