Courtney Tezeno to host HGTV s revival of Cash in the Attic UPI News Service, 05/19/2021 HGTV said Wednesday it has green-lit six new episodes of the collectible series Cash in the Attic. ADVERTISEMENT Courtney Tezeno will lead a team of expert appraisers, including Elyse Luray, Jean David Michel and Marvin Jules, as they sort through homes looking for classic toys, vintage comics, original video games and other valuable pop culture treasures, the cable network said in a news release. The show is expected to air later this year. We expect a wide audience to tune in for Cash in the Attic because they appreciate the nostalgic value of sports memorabilia or Beanie Babies and they may find out that they can turn something that s gathering dust into good money, Jane Latman, HGTV s president, said in a statement. ....
LA-based Leopard USA is looking to find more Cash in the Attic. The prodco has announced they are planning to give the long-running series a full refresh for 2021, va HGTV. Hosted by journalist Courtney Tezeno, the series has aired in more than 160 countries around the world – each episode featuring the story of gems and fortunes hidden in people’s attics. The original series ran to nearly 600 episodes across 18 series on the BBC, with the U.S. version airing on HGTV. The new series is executive produced by Lindsay Schwartz and James Burstall, and the showrunner is Gabe Cunningham. Joining Tezeno are experienced appraisers that include New Yorker Elyse Luray, who brings auction expertise built up over a lifetime to the series; collector Jean David Michel, who has turned his passion for comics into a career; and king of vintage, Marvin Jules. ....
