The Spy Who Came in From the Cold, set to arrive in 2021. Le Carré heroes certainly aren t men of action the protagonist of many of his novels, the doughy and mild-mannered George Smiley, is considered the anti-James Bond. And the conflict and dramas are just as often played out internally (inside agencies or individual human beings) as between people and nations.
