We are off about 0. 8 . This comes after a very good november in which we had our best month since june. If you think about historically where we have been, december 2017, nothing really happened. December of 2018, a big bottoming out. The index lost more than 9 , bottoming out there on Christmas Eve before a big run up which led to the 25 gain or self we have seen gain or so we have seen this year. Is relatively muted. Still early days. We will have to see how the rest of the month unfolds. Called the skew index, the panic index. Cost is going to federal government taxes and fees that are imposed upon the consumer. They should turn the witchhunt back around on them. Would they rather an industry that has half empty seats or half empty planes that loses millions of dollars, or would they rather an industry that instead has full planes and is turning a profit that is able to then reinvest money into the economy that provides good middleclass jobs . Because thats what the airlines are doing right now. And the only reason these are so high are because of the federal government taxes that are imposed upon, you know the airlines here and they have to absorb that cost somehow.
